If you have insurance, it's a good idea to get in contact with your insurance provider to ask them about the coverage available on your insurance plan. Although we don't do direct billing, we are happy to help with pay and claim reimbursement forms.

The term holistic wellness has become pretty trendy nowadays. A good way to understand it is to contrast it with healing approaches that are focusing on ‘the part’ rather than ‘the whole’. 

Dr. Gabor Mate is a proponent of holistic wellness because he discovered, in his 20 years as a physician, that the majority of medical symptoms, including serious illnesses, don’t just happen ‘out of the blue’ but are linked to challenging emotional experiences and life stresses that have not been addressed. Most doctors do not ask their patients about more than the physical symptom. Physical symptoms are precise and easier to talk about. Emotional, relational and work stress issues are bigger and more complex and multi-layered topics. Looking purely at physical symptoms can simplify the process of how to talk about pains and it is still effective to some degree, though it does not get to the root of the issue.
